I’m not all that into sprinting, but I have never heard of Charlton. I could just be ignorant, but my impression is Charlton was never in conversation for a WR, and all of a sudden she’s almost a stride ahead of the field at the Millrose 60H. Is there something I’m missing here?

She has been a top 8 or top 10 hurdler for some time. There isn't much at all that separates the top 15 folks, especially in the shortest event. Charlton, ran a perfect race. Great start, didn't hit any hurdles, fast between the hurdles and a great finish.

Devynne has been racking up world championship finals after being a many-time NCAA finalist with two 2nds. She's still working with her college coach and has always had a ridiculously good start and often was leading over the first couple of hurdles before she would get overtaken. She's now worked on her finish/strength and her form to not hit any hurdles so can now maintain that lead through the finish line. We'll see if her her strength carries her through 100m outdoors vs 60m indoors. Rooting for her.

No, men that look, run, have the typical stride length and cadence of, wear loose fitting shorts, and have the typical body proportions of men, look like men to me
