Is she injured? Hasn't raced in any of the UF meets so far this calendar year. No word about her racing pros at Millrose or one of the other top meets. Is she hurt or just going to phone it in and not challenge herself with only running the 5000m at NCAA indoors?
I know you’re joking when you say UTMB cause that ain’t happening.
The LRC consensus seems to be she will Skip indoors to focus on the trials and then Paris. Valby has skipped 2 indoors seasons already so not unusual she is missing meets this indoor season.

Hemery is on the UF schedule, my guess is she will likely run the 3k there (like last year) or at conferences to get her qualifier.

Found the overzealous fanboy.
She already has the 5000 she ran in Boston so she technically hasn’t skipped indoors. If I had to guess, she’ll just run the NCAA finals and that will be it for her indoor season. I doubt if she runs any 3000s.
I don’t see her competing a lot this upcoming outdoor season, either. She’ll run some strong efforts but her season will be geared to peak at the trials.
She DID run 14:56! She’s Should be in the discussion for Paris, if Nico Young and Graham Blanks are in the discussio, why wouldn’t Valby be? would expect 2-3 month base training and then run an outdoor qualifier. But yes BU Hemery is on the sched so we’ll see.

Saying that “she should be in the discussion for Paris” is not the same as what you wrote a few posts up when you stated “focus on the trials and then Paris.” One of those statements makes it sound as if you believe Valby going to Paris is a foregone conclusion. The competition to make the team will not be easy.
There’s no need for you to white knight for Valby. Most knowledgeable fans believe that she’s a consideration for Paris.

ValbyHaterBoy that you are, you’re saying she should put everything into indoors and outdoors, win 4 more ncaa titles and just forget Paris! You must not be a runner.

Valby provides the plan, as well as some amusing comments about not leading, in her BU opener interview.
