1) Mantz - won but looked shattered, and had a rough Boston run too. Not terrible but not the most encouraging
2) Young - looked super comfortable, keen to see what he does against faster guys
3) Korir - redemption, moved through the field. superb.
5) CJ - PB, fastest final mile, post-race interview was a hard watch. truly gutted for him
6) Panning - Gutting ending but great swing and really made the race a good watch
9) Reed Fischer - Top 10 moving through the field, decent run. Mr. Consistent.
16)Rupp - blind patriotism was the only thing making people pick him for their team after the Houston performance
19)Lara - 2:14 even in the heat is very underwhelming for a 61:00 guy
22) Cheney - 2:15, small PB, bonked, can stop telling his youtube he's "really a 2:09 guy"
DNF) Colley - stuck in there, thought we'd see something great but DNF'd before 20
DNF) Chelimo - after that HM debut, the Marathon debut was never going to go well. People got blinded by the track medals
DNF) Fauble - that's 2x DNF's in his last 2x races. Writing was on the wall after that pre-race interview
1) O'Keefe - run of the day. American Debut Record.
2) Sisson - did the job but tbh like Mantz I felt this was an underwhelming performance, expected her to not be so far back off O'Keefe. Wonder why, another side stitch?
3) Lindwurm - run of the day behind O'Keefe. Fantastic story for a D2 walk-on
4) McClain - 15s away from the Olympics must be tough to take. Solid run, 4min PB & unsponsored?
5) Hall - really gutted for her, such a shame, glad she ground it out to the end
11) Linden - 2:30, might bring her back to reality on her pod
DNF) Rojas - claimed she was in sub2:20 shape on Sweat Elite, DNF by Mile19, I have no idea why some people were picking her
DNF) Saina - in contention for Olympic spot then DNF'd with 3.5M to go, disappointing
DNF) D'Amato - DNF by Mile20, big disappointment for HM AR holder
Slowest times of the day were 2:50 & 3:22.
Thoughts on anyone else?
