New Balance employee admits that Supercomp Trainer V1 and V2 have EVA midsoles

This is pretty lame if true. Imagine paying $200 for a "premium" tier shoe in 2023 that has midsole consisting entirely of outdated EVA foam.

In a video previewing the Supercomp Trainer V3 from December 2023 by Youtube shoe reviewer Alex Filitti he interviews "Chris", a rep for NB at The Running Event. At the 34 second mark Chris states the following in regards to the midsole of the Supercomp Trainer V2, "the predecessor was 100% EVA". The SC Trainer V2 is the second most expensive shoe within NB's performance running category. It sits just under the FC Elite V3. Logic would dictate that every Fuelcell shoe below or older than the SC Trainer V2 is also 100% EVA.

Everyone already knew this. New Balance didn't begin using PEBA until their 2024 models.

I'm pretty sure the SC Trainers never cost $200, they retailed for $179 and you could usually find them on sale for less.

It's not the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean... or in this case, it's what they do with the foam that matters.

They use Pebax to make rigid spikeplates. Would you want a supershoe made entirely of rigid Pebax material? No you would not. So clearly it's how they form the foam and the air they inject into it that matters, not necessarily the base material itself.

Give the analogies a break. These two factors are not mutually exclusive. The properties of EVA are vastly inferior to TPE foams.
