With only Runninglane left, he has now run 8:38 for 3200 at Arcadia and 4:03 solo at the 2a state meet (small school state meet separate location from large school meet) in Cullman. Those smashed the state records at both distances for any division. It is bonkers to me that he has run this fast with the absence of places to run in Cold Springs. The Cold Springs high school track has long 125m-ish straights with 75m-ish turns that are irregular.
He has an online coach from RunCCG from what I've heard, and these online coaches seem to have significantly helped small school runners across the state without a real coach get fast. It pains me he is committed to Tennessee and not Auburn though. I would have even preferred he go to Alabama.
