Anyone ever get an email 'warning' from Lyft or Uber?
I received one and for the life of me cannot figure out why? I am courteous, thankful and always wish them safe driving. Could it be some driver bitched because I didn't tip enough or take the time to rate him?
I once had an Uber driver lose it on me because I 'slammed the door'. I can say with certainty I did not close the door any harder than I have at any other time in my life. But this was in San Fran and I'm a straight, white, male... there was definitely hatred in the air from the moment I got into the car.

Yes, most likely the driver bitched. I once got a warning message within minutes of a Lyft ride that they received a complaint about racial abuse, which totally flabbergasted me coz nothing unpleasant happened on the ride. The driver was black and I remember being slightly weirded out coz he was telling me very specific things to do or not do in a not very polite tone, but I just assumed he was work stressed and not in a great mood; not a problem for me coz it was a short ride and I only cared about getting to the restaurant destination. The only words I uttered other than telling him my name in the beginning and thank you at the end were “sorry, what exactly do you need me to do?” coz at one point I couldn’t understand what exactly he wanted me to do (something about the door or window or whatever that I don’t remember now).
I’m guessing he could see that he was making me a bit uncomfortable and thought I might complain or write a bad review and decided to proactively prevent that by making a complaint about race.

I use Lyft and Uber a lot, especially when traveling for work. The only time I've ever received warnings or bad reviews is when I was drunk and mouthing off about stuff.

Could be a scam or phishing email. Check the email address and see if it looks off. You gotta be careful opening emails from “Uber”, “Lyft”, “Amazon”, etc these days
I use Lyft periodically, but I've never heard of ratings other than that they claim every driver they send has 5 stars. The drivers rate passengers?
You must not pay attention at all on the app. The driver they send has a star rating you can clearly see and they highlight when they are on their way, extremely rare to see a 5.0 but typically always 4.5+, they also tell you how many rides they have done. Your profile will then show you your rating as drivers can and should rate passengers, as I mentioned I'm a 5 star man. Why would a driver want to pick up a 1 star man who would vomit or defecate in their car?
I can afford my own car because I don’t live in San Fran.
Why do poor people feel like owning a car is a big accomplishment?
Not sure what you mean by poor people, though I know a lot of people who make enough to own a car in theory, but they live in expensive cities where the cost of living is so great that they can’t afford one, then they pretend they don’t really “need” one where they live while also looking down on people who live outside the cities for this and other reasons. And then they spent piles of money ordering an Uber/Lyft every time they need to go more than half a mile. But they don’t need a car, no sir.

I have a friend who puked in an Uber and he still gets rides.

That is the cesspool that is Uber, we're talking about Lyft buddy. Try to keep up.

I agree that Uber is more for the low-end types. But I'm just saying, if you puke in a ride-share, it's not necessarily the end of your ride-share opportunities.

Fair, good point and sorry for my rudeness. You'll typically pay through the a$$ on cleaning fees if you do that too so most times drivers won't totally kill you for it with a bad rating.
