Been using Allbirds for wide toe but hurting lower back. Biggest issues; flat foot, lower back issues, bunions.
Retired elite athlete now with arthritis who needs to walk for exercise but walking shoes don’t have enough support . Podiatrist recommended running shoe.

Hoka Carbon X3. I used these when coming back from injury and they were fantastic. Wide fit and a wide base of support. Just 5mm of drop and the plate helps roll up on the toe quicker.
You could try HOKA Bondi too if you don't want to pay for a carbon plate. Lots of people w/feet problems seem to wear those. They have wide sizes too. FWIW my sister who has flat feet finds On shoes really comfortable.
Altra, not bad as a walking shoe, running not so much.
