he beats me in every 10k, he runs 33.xx and i run 34.xx
i beat him in every marathon, my PB 2:39, his PB 2:47
he has speed but no endurance, i watch him run and his running action is not efficient for long distance, he's too 'bouncy'.
this is a 30k trail race.
i think if i start fast he will feel like he has to stay with me, and this will tire him out half way through the race because he doesn't have the same endurance. but 30k is maybe not quite long enough for him to blow up. usually in marathons it's about the 30k point when people start to tire, isn't it? so what does letsrun think about this strategy?
also he is russian, what if i wear blue and yellow attire. it might get him running on pure hate and that will only be sustainable for 15k maximum.
