I have posted this before, but accidentally in the wrong topic tags.
I am looking for a reasonably priced super spike that can reasonably handle anything between 800m - 5k on the track or a cross country course.
I've only ever used the Nike ZoomX Rival Distance, and I'm looking to upgrade.
So far, I've looked at the Nike Dragonfly, the On Cloudspike 10,000, several options from the the Brooks Wire series, the Hoka Cielo MD and LD, and the Saucony Terminal VT. All of the people I run with use the Dragonfly, and highly recommend it. However, most of them purchased theirs back when the Dragonfly was the only super spike on the market. I understand that things have changed, and competition now exists.
I'd like to avoid Nike if possible, due to the Dragonfly being slightly more expensive, but if they are truly the best, or I can't reach a solid conclusion for another spike, they are my default option.
I would love to hear any of your experiences with any of these spikes, recommendations, comparisons, or other info related to the search for racing spikes.
