LRC note. We changed the title of the thread. It was initially entitled, "Rumors CONFIRMED - Dartmouth distance coach McNulty FIRED" which we don't know to be true.
If you go to the school website he is still listed as a coach. Would think one of the 1st things the school would do if he was no longer employed there was to remove him from the website

I can confirm this has happened. While I may not like what happened to Sean, there was merit from Dartmouth to let him go!
Hope he can land on his feet soon at another program!

With all due respect to McNulty, I don't think coaching is the career for him. The poor performance of the team, the injuries, and other complaints are not things that others should be subjected to.
I hope he finds a great new job, but hopefully not in coaching.

I won't say you're wrong and it's a possibility that he should might consider! I just know learning from your mistakes and getting to a new location has definitely improved coaches if they are lucky to get a 2nd chance. We will see

Do you know how it went down or what the team was told?
It appears as if the athletes revolted and took it to the AD.
Then send it an email and see if you get the reply.
Sports Information is really bad at every school, they are always slow. Especially this time of the year when most college campuses are shut down for the holidays.
He was hired in December of 2022 so he probably didn't get his contract renewed (like Brosnan). It's the school's way of firing people without having to do extra paperwork.

A nonrenewal is essentially a firing.
You said probably, so you don’t know for a fact. It might me likely or highly probable, but he may have quit.
How bad do you have to be to blow your shot at an Ivy gig? This guy is a complete idiot. Making your guys do workouts 5 times a week? There is a reason no other coaches do that, its insane. This guy must be a complete fool and a headcase and it makes his hiring even more perplexing. Seriously, just whipping out a Jack Daniels book and following it verbatim would have probably given him a few years.
