If it’s good enough for Kipchoge and Kiptum, it’s good enough for me. I’ve been an ASICS guy all my running life, and I think I’m going to take the Nike plunge with this shoe.
High price tag, but I’m giving it a go.

I don't think anyone will buy it.
Nobody is yet. Maybe on Jan 4 they will.
Alas, sold out in seconds. Anyone know when the mass market version comes out?

In sone weird purple or green, you mean?
No clue but was hoping to score a pair for a 2/10 marathon. Guessing I'll be out of luck for that so the question turns to Vaporfly 3 or Endorphin Elite?

You could try eBay.
I have raced in both the Endorphin Elite and VF3. They feel very different to me. Out of the box, I thought the EE was stiffer than the VF3. I really like the EE -- VF3 is a solid, can't miss pick as well but I prefer the EE.
There is a solid chance that the mass market version will drop in 2-3 weeks. It's an ugly volt/blue/orange color, but just don't look down.
Not willing to pay any more than retail. Have a pair of VF 3s and enjoy them but too many miles to lace them up for a marathon. Haven't been in the Elites but have raced some in the Pros and liked those as well, although not quite as much as the VF3.

I freaking knew it.
I scored a pair. It will be interesting to see how these feel compared to the other versions. Owing a pair of 1s and 2s, while decent in their own distictive rights, I've never run a marathon in them for various reasons. I've always resorted back to the vaporfly. The 1s just seen too thick in the forefoot. In the later miles of a long run it feels mushy to me, kind of like running in sand. I find the footbed of the 2s more like the vaporfly, which I like, but not as soft and definetly a bit more clunky in my opinion. I am hoping they are able to kind of blend the two together and come up with a shoe that has characteristics of the vaporfly but help with some of the fatigue of a marathon.
