Fuching win everything
I’ve got arthritis in both knees and damaged cartilage and ligaments and I’m 10kg over my racing weight. Sooo if I can go sub 20 for 5km I will be stoked
I’m 5 years removed from being a pretty solid college runner. I have started to look pudgy, so I would like to maintain the habit of running 4-5 days a week. I have a seasonal job, and have not strung together more than a few months. My goal is to maintain the habit through the busy season this year without losing it all and having to go back to Step 1
Hoping to get into the Taipei Marathon 2024. If I can get in, my goal is sub-2:50. I'm not sure what races I'll plan for otherwise.
I've had a real problem sticking with consistent training since I graduated undergrad. I'm hoping I can run every week and hit at least 3000 miles for end of year 2024, which I don't think I've done since 2018.
My goals are to run consistently throughout the year, without major illness or injury interrupting my running as it has the last two years. Good luck on your 100 miler and BQ!
My goal is to run more consistently than this year and to run a good time at Lavaredo.
Lose 15-20 lbs
Run more
Set myself up for another shot at sub-3 thon in 2025
•Maintain fitness through the year (Consistent exercise and no eating poorly for consecutive days/weeks.)
•Also attempting my first marathon! (Goal: Finish, Bonus Goal: sub-4, Bonus bonus goal: Stay with 3:30 pace group for 20 miles and see what happens!)
- Reclaim my local title from the dorky little fella who’s been on the scene lately
- Train hard, live an honest life
- Break 2:00 on record eligible course.
- Make the Kenyan Olympic team
Marathon is life.
I've been slowly rebuilding to my old fitness over the past few years, and if I stay uninjured then this coming year I might finally break 4:30 in the (full) mile for the first time ever! Got close way back in high school but never did it, so this would be my first lifetime PR as an adult after getting back into running
- BQ
- Sub 5 in the mile
- Get more comfortable running 60+ mile weeks in training
- Get faster at shorter races (5K, 8K, 10K) (and run better courses, I picked some bad races this year that cost me potential PRs lol)
- Do more running specific strength training
- Keep having fun
Run more for the sake of running, leaving the watch at home and running untimed at least 2 runs per month.
1. Finally run a consistent 80mpw including doubles without getting injured
2. Sub 14:50 5000, sub 3:55 1500
3. Make it to state champs for track and challenge for top 3 in both events
4. Run my very first track 10,000 at conference (maybe, 25 laps is a lot lol)
Good luck to everyone here on achieving their goals.
Run minimum of 2000 miles.
Requalify at Boston (3:20 minus 7ish), stretch goal of first sub 3 since 2014.
Stay healthy and incorporate a little more strength training after April.
-Break 19 minutes for a 5k on the roads
-Run a 50k
Not a goal, but rather a plea, wish or prayer - that LETSRUN poster learn grammar in 2024!
It is NOT "What's (conjunction of 'what is') your running goals for 2024?
It IS.."What are your running goals for 2024?" "goals" is the subject, and needs a plural form of the verb being used. The decline of western civilzation is in full swing....
