Hello! I'm finally looking to get a smartwatch for running. I'm looking at the Garmin options that have downloadable maps so i can get lost running on the trails and still get back just fine. Also for backpacking and kayak camping so I don't have to keep pulling out my phone.
I'm a small guy (5'5", 135lbs) and was trying on the Fenix 7S and it definitely felt like I don't want to go larger, however it felt much heavier than I expected, and is about the same weight as all the watches with mapping capabilities. I tried on a lighter one and it felt much better but it didn't have mapping.
My question to you runners, esp of the smaller variety, who have one of the mapping watches (forerunner 965, Fenix, Epix), does the additional weight bother you while you run? If not, how easily do you get used to it? Should I just consider a smaller one without the mapping?
