I know people on this site are mostly distance runners, but I have a question for sprinters and don't know where else to ask it. I am Christmas shopping for a sprinter (former college, still trains year-round and runs all comers' meets as a post-collegiate athlete). He already has a good home-gym setup and owns starting blocks. What else would a sprinter be interested in? I know he trained under a "feed the cats" type philosophy that involved lots of timing in practice. Are there self-timing systems for individuals? Thanks in advance for any ideas!
