Zach Miller was 3rd at the Millersville Turkey Trot this morning. Looking at some Strava posts I see that the “winner” cut the course but they kept him in the results? Pretty clear from the results that he cut the course. Finished a full minute ahead of 2nd.

The winner is a Penn State stud 14- min guy always wins this in low 15s. And remember there are 2 Zach Millers in PA. One is the famous trail runner, the other one a try-hard marathoner/

ya prol the try hard , i cant see trail zach miller doing a turkey trot in a serious manner but what do i know
If you don't run the course, how can you win the race?? Or better yet, how does the guy who went off course not own up to it and ask to be taken outta the results. Sad that between the cheater and the race director, no one took the honest & right move here
The race director was told. Everyone knew. The “winner” would have ran a 15:58 if based off of his pace for 2.95 miles. They declared 2 “winners”. The top finisher (16:19) of the full course also received the first place prize

I was there. Dude cut at least .25 off the course.
Dang, that would have been a crazy fast last .25. Kudos to the winner, sounds like he ran a race he can be really proud of.
On a related note, I would have run 15:00 for the win at my local trot if you use my pace through the first 2 miles. I expect the RD will reach out soon to make it right.

If the race director was made aware you I mean he should have been dq’d. That’s pretty simple. Cut the course? DQ.
They clearly did not declare two winners. 2nd place (a high school senior) should be declared the winner smh
That what the race director announced to everyone. You can start your own race if you disagree with him
So you told them to reinstate you? It wasn’t a timing mistake? lol
Probably can’t respond cause he i mean the winner is scoping out the black friday deals at tracksmith. gobble gobble mofos! Better train your butts off next year!
