How did your turkey trot go?
How did your turkey trot go?
I can't believe that any of you fast guys would even bother with a turkey trot. But maybe you are not as fast as you always pretend.
You slow normies are jealous! I hit the three mile mark of this morning's Trurkey Trot 5K in 12:20 with a huge lead and decided to walk/jog/dance it in. Being a festive event, I thought it best to give little kids a bunch of high fives to inspire them to take up running. As I ambled through my two minute victory celebration, some local slowtard decides to kick for the victory while I'm doing the Lord's work getting the crowd hyped. No cheap victory for you! I sprinted after him and proceeded to hip check him into some heavy steel barriers. I still get the win and the adulation of the crowd, he gets a DNF and a broken collarbone complete with ambulance ride to the hospital, and his smokin' hot and very embarrassed girlfriend got her bird stuffed in the backseat of my Jeep Wrangler!
Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble, gobble MFers!!!
Damn, glory unattainable. Our 10k (@ altitude) was won in 32 min. I was a couple min back. sad day
I'm old, fat, and balding. Ran a 5K by myself on the track in 21:43.
Ran 15:20 for a real (not net downhill) PR on a hilly course. Ran like garbage compared to other races I've done this year (e.g. running a 24:4x 8k on grass) but I don't really care as I've never been able to run a good 5k despite having good 3k and 8k PRs
justifies how real and hilly the course is but then makes an excuse as to why they didnt run a fast time (but claims he doesnt care)
if you're slow just say

My 5K trot in the NE USA went well. Temp was 49F/9C at race start but with little wind for the most part. Given that yesterday the temp was in the low 60s/14-17c it was not too cold on race day. I enjoyed the trot, even though I ran it slower than I thought I would.
If 2.2miles, W
41:13 10k on a fairly hilly course was enough for 17th overall and 2nd of 49 in my male 25-29 age group. Only got chicked by one person
Actually some people got removed from the results, I suspect DQ, so technically I won my age group
Faster than you thats for sure shawdy
16:33 for a 1:00+ win, only day of the year I feel like i’m good at 5k
16:25 5k, almost cracked the top ten. Beat all the high schoolers but lost to the college guys. Fun was had
Local brewery had a 5k. I ran on my own this morning and did not race. I went for the festivities in casual running attire. Winning time was 19:51.
I would have felt very out of place winning this thing and am glad I didnt race. Although it costs decent money to live here I am more athletically advantaged than many people in this locale and experienced many great running moments already in my life. Today was about them and just being part of the community.
Is it still a turkey trot if I trotted around the park for 30 minutes?
Not too bad finished 3rd running 12:57 for the 5k a guy in a Kenyan Uniform won it.

Pretty mixed tbh, I ran a smart 10K but my legs didn’t respond how I wanted and the weather was cold and windy. I ran a 38 minute 10K with a really fast final 1K (3:09), so nowhere near my best run but I’m happy any chance I get to race and I’m planning on getting some gym work done during the offseason.
Woke up early so crush 60min on the treadmill before wife and child rose
Showed up in hiking pants and fall sweater and dropped 95% of the field. Shut it down on final stretch to make it look like just another walk in the park.

Dropping 95% of the field at a Turkey Trot means you probably ran 20:30.
