Valby will take it out hard and run a very impressive 14:39. Tuohy will run hard the first 3000 and struggle home to finish in 15:21. Her coach will then announce how sick she was.
Better for Tuohy to bail on indoors entirely. She ran fast indoors last winter, and hasn't been the same since. Why make the same mistake again - just to please the Tuohy vs Valby nuts?!
Fine for Valby, she is on a roll, but Henes has to know better. Touhy struggled outdoors, so let her get ready for that, and then onto the OT (regardless of whether she has a shot at the team or not - it is about the experience).
I really doubt either run, valby hasn't done this kindof thing in the past, and It doesn't make sense for Thouy to push through when she is clearly not 100%
This is the only dopey sport where people advise athletes to do what's against the money and fame... There's no money in professional running unless your world class... They should stay in school and milk the NCAA gravy train... They got a good thing going... If they focus on the Olympics they're just going to drift into obscurity... I mean who talks about wenie kelati or henes or aisling cuffe... Seriously... U guys r bozozs... And theyd be bozos for doing anything but NCAA... Also altitude training is over rated... Especially when your 80 seconds off world lead...

I agree with everything except the bolded text. She was sick last weekend. Henes said she is in top shape. Once KT kicks her sickness she will be likely be... in top shape.

She had the sniffles... It'll pass
Could be serious... Maybe lupis, or Lou Gehrig's disease... Or ebola... Anyone notice any rashes? It would stink If she has to give a speech like Lou Gehrig... With all that echo...

Why do you think a pro contract would be less than their current NIL deals?
And what fame? We're talking about track and field, its a niche sport regardless of college or pro. No one talked about Kelati or Henes when they were in college either except for niche sport message boards.
Because, media works by interest... NCAA gets millions of views... If the go pro and finish 5th and 7th... Who will notice? I think Adidas and Nike would rather they run NCAA... Unless they can compete with monson and Hassan and the best... not be running 1510 and losing to former d3 runners...
What meets will they be running as pros and who will care?

Then insecure letsrunners act tough on a message board, picking sides as they line up behind 21 year old women.
