Male field hockey player knocks out teeth of female player. Males can play female sports in Massachusetts if their school does not offer it. What school offers Boys Field Hockey? None. That is like offering Boys Softball.
It's reported that male player (#2 for Swampscott) knocked the teeth out of female player. Males are allowed to play on female teams in MA because of the "equal play act"
Seems so nutty that males (i.e. transwomen) are allowed to play with females in sports. Really demonstrative of where we are as a culture now -- I think this is changing for the better but it cannot move fast enough.

Boys are allowed to play on girls' field hockey teams, even without identifying as another gender. The reason for this is that there are no male field hockey teams, at least not in hs sports. Presumably girls would be allowed to play on the football team as well, should they actually be able to perform in a position as well as any boys at the school.

But why would any guy want to take advantage of this rule? Basically the real life version of Kramer's karate class.
I'm completely against transwomen playing in women's sports, but this injury looks like a case of the field hockey ball hitting a girl in the mouth.
I don't think it had anything to do with the gender of the person hitting the ball. I am assuming that a female player could have hit the ball in the exact same way, just as powerfully. Or am I missing something?

Do not expect a sensible reply from Charlie Baker. He's not too bright. That's why he was a good choice for NCAA President.
In November 2020, Charlie Baker put out an executive order mandating that masks be worn outdoors regardless of social distancing. Nobody obeyed the order. It was a bigger joke than removing the hoops from basketball backboards.

Not really. It's like saying female player can throw a baseball just as fast.

Boys are only allowed to play on girls' field hockey teams in some jurisdictions here and there. Moreover, in the places where males are allowed to play on female teams, the policy and practice has always been controversial. Many people knowledgable about the sport of field hockey and the massive physical differences between the sexes have long objected to the policy of allowing males to play in girls' and women's hockey on safety and fairness grounds.
Mixed-sex field hockey is "a thing" - but it's a different matter entirely. There are special rules for mixed-sex hockey just as there are for mixed-sex play and competition in other sports like volleyball and tennis.
As for girls playing on the boys' and men's (American) football team at school: most American tackle football governing bodies, schools, leagues and their insurers - especially the insurers - prohibit girls and women from playing on boys' and men's football teams due to the obvious safety risks.
When girls and women play American football on teenage boys' and men's teams, they are relegated to being field kickers.
Some years ago, there was one HS girl who was made a QB on a boys' football team in the US (Florida, I think), but she didn't really play any games against other teams. I think she was put on the field as QB for a few minutes in a game on one and only one occasion. But I believe this happened in a situation where the score was already so lopsided that the game was effectively over anyways and no one on either team was really playing any more.

He gets to be around a lot of girls and men's field hockey is an international sport. Those who are good enough could play for an all men's team and travel the world playing other nation's teams.

Yes, you're missing the fact that teenage males typically hit pucks and balls with sticks, bats and racquets with much, much greater force, speed and power than teenage females can and do.
You're also missing the fact that due to myriad major sex differences in head, neck and shoulder anatomy in humans, girls and women are much more likely than boys and men to suffer serious, traumatic and posssibly crippling or fatal head, neck shoulder and facial injuries in sports - and in accidents and from falls too.

This has been an issue for players and coaches for years, even decades. But the anti-trans activists had ignored the problem, because the boys in question were cisgender.

Frustrated that their concerns have not been addressed by administrators and the MIAA, opponents of boys playing against girls in field hockey took their cause to the State House.
So I did some research and the dude's name who smoked this chick in the face is Sawyer Groothuis.
Not only did he send her to the hospital but he also is a county field hockey all-star and scored the only two goals of this game, which was a state playoff match.

Settle down bozo.
Both of my sisters played D1 field hockey and both had facial injuries from being hit by girls. If an NHL player got hit in the face by a high school girl’s shot it would knock teeth out. You are donkey brained dodo.
