I accepted a job as an electrician apprentice and really want to continue running but am afraid the job will make it near impossible. Anyone running a lot working construction?

I don't think anyone here has a job
It's called watching P0rn and starting thread after thread on here 24/7 while eating the pizza mommy and daddy bought me for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Did indoor construction back in the day: Sheetrock, painting &plastering and floors. Was running 3x times a week without issue but I wouldn’t want to do the type of mileage where you feel it in your knees.
As far as construction trade jobs go, IMO electrical is the easiest on the body. You’re mainly running and splicing wire and not doing a lot of heavy lifting.
I don't see the issue at all.
Just run easy/steady singles after work and race / track workout on Saturday. Sunday Sleep.
The only thing I would do is Buy knee pads so your knees don't swell when you work.
Thanks to your job you also don't need a gym membership anymore.
everyone on the NAU team does. when they're not running they chop wood and carry water.

Probably would be best to get most your runs in before work. Take the easy runs easy but just get the miles in anyway you can even if they're slow. Can focus on hitting your splits in workouts. If you're taking a day off a week or every 10 days you can do it mid work week.

I worked shift on a paper mill in my prime years (1990s) and still managed to run 140-200 km/week. I certainly didn't have to go to the gym.
Sure, sometimes I was tired as hell, but that hasn't killed anyone.
I don't know if anyone has been following the Norwegian on lower mileage these. But having briefly spoke to him on Strava, I believe sirpoc works in construction or the industry and he is one of the most consistent hobby joggers we have ever seen on lets run. So it's possible. It's obviously gonna be easy if you are a work at home or office boy. But shows anything possible.
Xavi Tomasa, for example. PB's 1:06 HM and 2:23 M.
BREAKING: Athing Mu running 800m in Gainesville on Friday at Holloway Pro Classic
Jakob chugs almost an entire 32-oz sports drink in 6 seconds during interview
I don't believe Jakob is clean. injured and runs 3:26.7 a bit later?
After Jakob's 3:26, Kerr's chance of winning in Paris has INCREASED
Can we talk about how crazy hard this Olympic marathon course is?
