Sondre Norstadt Moen: Great run by the Norwegian monster, 1:00:30, not far from his PB 59:48, back in 2017, the same year he won Fukuoka in 2:05:40. Good to see Bonny Kibiwott, Wanders' training partner and pace maker, run a pb of 59:23.

Correction, Moen ran 2:05:48, to win Fukuoka in 2017. Not sure if he wore Nike or Asics at that time. He's now Puma sponsored. We hope for a great run by Moen in Paris 2024.
Ghost, Sondre ran 60:20, not 60:30. He will go to Fukuoka again, for achieving the Olympic limit and, maybe, running again near his old European Record.

Great news, Professor Canova. Grazie mille. Are you still coaching Moen? Is it same base he used in 2017, his best year?

This means the Norge Monster was just 32 seconds slower than his 59:48, Valencia 2017. Even better, we can assume Málaga is a slower course compared to Valencia. This means the Viking, with the Premier League football legs, is back on track to his 2017 form.
If he runs 2:07:00-2:08:00 in Fukuoka we can assume Prof Canova will be satisfied.

Moen has until April 22, 2024, to achieve the qualifying mark of 2:08:10.
I predict Fukuoka, 2:07:00-2:07:50 for Moen. He needs to have some reserve. Don't think he's ready for 2:05:09-2:06:00 yet.
We wish the Norge monster repeat success in Fukuoka.
World Athletics has revealed its qualification system for the Olympic Games Paris 2024. Here are the entry standards for athletes seeking to qualify for the athletics field events at the next Olympic Games.
That 27:00/10,000 Paris 2024 qualifying time is super tough. Women's 30:40 more attainable by many. It means we'll probably not see any Japanese men in the 10k final. Sad.

Sondre Nordstad Moen. This name is widely known since the Fukuoka marathon in December 2017, where Sondre came to be the first Non-African man to ever have run a marathon below 2:06 (in 2:05:48). But how does this guy train a...
Signore Canova, what can you tells us about the sessions you're using that target lactate clearance/metabolization? I read about for example 1km just above marathon pace/1km just below. Grazie mille.
Gonna give a little extra props to the winner Toroitch, who ran a massive PB and general step forward to go 59:13. Asics Chojo Project (coached by Peter Bii) also had the winner in Frankfurt break 2:05 in the full marathon. SweatElite has done some videos with them and seems like a great group of underdogs:
Enock Onchari, Dominic Ngeno and Team Asics (Kenya) are preparing for races this weekend with a fartlek workout just outside of Iten, Kenya. The team produce...

How does it differ from Canova sessions? Isn't there overlap in what these guys are doing (5km pace at 15:00, recovery at 3:40)? Am I missing something?

Don't remember seeing anything similar on that Valencia presentation.
