I was looked at my watch this morning and hit Discard instead of Save by mistaking. How does I recover it?

Would be safest to go redo your workout and not delete it.
No... 5 miles noooo
So you deleted your Park Run ?Sorry for your loss.
If you had not yet synced the run with Garmin Connect, then you can't recover it.
Same thing happened to me, when I run a 10K PR.
You are probably too tired to reperform the run now so ride over the course on a bike. Since you are on a bike swing by some other courses and get on the segment leaderboards using your bike.
happened to me once this summer. nothing you can do. manually put it into connect, strava or whatever. just remember the numbers the best you can. who cares if you are off by some seconds, or even a minute or two. log the miles. move on. don't sweat it.
I did 4 miles at 5:25 avg this morning and didn't save it. Why? Because I'm not on strava and it doesn't matter.
This^
The point of running is to train your body. Your body knows that it did the run and that's all that matters. Unless the OP is rojo and he just created this thread for clicks and didn't run at all.
whether you save it in your watch or not, it's good practice to log your workouts to track progression and methodically build over time.
If nothing else was written/saved on the watch you could immediately use a program like Recuva to undelete FIT files
The problem is the watch is constantly making new files and probably overwrite the deleted file the moment you did any kind of sync
You does recovers too much.
It's imperative that you recover that lost activity, because the fitness gains from the activity do not get registered by your body otherwise. Garmin data is stronger evidence than just memory, so the brain and thus body will believe the activity did not take place. You should hire some expert to try to recover that activity.
If you want the actual data, then this is probably the only way to possibly get it back. Otherwise, just enter it manually in Garmin connect and/or Strava.
