I always hear this term but what does it even mean?
Fast?
Firm?
Responsive to what? Foot strike and toe off?

No one know what responsiveness means
I don't know how responsive you expect your shoes to be, but I was once ghosted by a pair of Brooks.
No responses to my question about responsiveness
how ironic
I'll take a stab. It seems like it's always mentioned in the context of firmer shoes, particularly when trying to pick up the pace. Often associated with feel of the ground.
To me means a lot of things like bounce or lightness or pretty much just how fast the shoes move with how your feet want to move
This used to be the answer until untrained shoetubers started doing reviews. Most people correlate responsive with giving something back, which used to be ground feedback. Unresponsive shoes were cushioned or mushy and dulled the feedback. Today, bouncy shoes are considered responsive because they give a different kind of feedback, ie propulsiveness.
