Road cyclist Freddy Ovett runs Valencia Half well. Someone asks him how he integrates running into his training and he said he "takes a couple jogs a week" and "last few weeks did couple sessions at race speed."

Worth mentioning also that last year he did some training in prep for Berlin but did not have a good day and ran like 2:45 or something. Freddy was in a few Sweat Elite videos leading up to the race where he talked doing more running for this marathon since he had time off the bike. Also remember him saying that he ran like 2:40 in his debut marathon off of only cycling. Obviously dad helped a lot with that!
I tend to think 800/1500 type runners are the runners most suited for cycling because they have a bit more power than the Bekele/Kipchoge endurance types, so I'm not surprised that someone with some of Steve Ovett's middle-distance genes can run a solid half and also make a living in cycling.
