The above is the first line of the Kinvara’s description on Saucony’s website. What does this mean? Is Saucony equating plate-free running to faster running? Just a bizarre statement all around, IMO

Naturallyfaster. Not mechanically doped faster.
That was my thought, but that would be naturally slower, no?
Saucony Kinvara 14 sounds like what we'd see on an alien spaceship that landed on earth.
All true, but yet, I love Kinvaras, have five pair of 13’s that I rotate. One year I hated the changes, but usually it’s a great shoe for me. Light, low drop, low profile. Great old school shoe if you don’t need much cushioning.
If they're trying to say the shoe is somehow more "natural," like the old minimalist days, it probably shouldn't have a new "rocker design" to assist your stride. Plate or no plate, there's not much "natural" about a shoe anyhow. If it's by design--i.e. by its nature--faster than many other trainers but they feel the need to mention plates, it probably should just say "One of the fastest plate-less trainers on the market, our newly redesigned...."
