Yes or no?
My answer: no.
I wear what I like, regardless of what some elite wears. Has no influence over my purchasing decision at all.

Yes, I probably would not have bought ON cloudmonsters if not for OAC
No I could care what coastal elites are wearing on their feet.
I alternate between boots and white reeboks.
No because they just wear what they are paid to wear.
Nope
No. For example, ON shoes are expensive. I like the OAC crew but I like my new balance shoes better.
Yes, there are hundreds of different shoes out there. I wouldn't have tried some of the shoes I have without some exposure given by elite trail runners. Even getting someone to know a shoe exists is a huge influence, even if not acknowledged by you. Unless you are wearing Aetryus or something like that. I'd argue that most (you?) probably have been influenced, even if only indirectly and you don't follow elites at all.
So what running shoes do you wear? I'd curious to know.
No. Even when all racing shoes were flats (what I wear to train and race in are racing flats), I'd try on shoes, and pick what worked best. There are so few racing shoes on the market, that one could try them all by going to a few running stores.
No.
However, the shoes that the "Youtube Runners" wear definitely influences shoe purchases by their lemming-like followers. Have you ever noticed how often someone comments, "What shoes are you wearing?"
I alternate these days between Atreyu and North Face. The North Face shoes suggestion came from, um, Seth believe it or not.

No. I don’t know who runs in Saucony aside from Jared Ward, but the Pro 3 was the most comfortable super shoe and most stable
No, nor do I buy anything else they're promoting.
I just wear what rojo wears.
You wear Hoka's, right?
For roads and trails, definitely no. For track & XC, kind of - mainly because I feel like there's less data out there (shoe reviews, user feedback) so sometimes it's nice to look to what pros are running in.
Folks answering No don’t understand subliminality.
Mostly several models of Adidas Terrex trail shoes actually. Stocked up on Terrex Speed Ultras when they were 75% off last December.
No. I "run" at half their speed, so the rebound effect of their shoes wouldn't work for me.

Absolutely not.
