Christian Coleman takes down the world champion today in Eugene to reclaim his throne. Lyles finishes the season 2nd instead of top dog world champion. Lyles wasn't going to run in Eugene until Rojo trash talked him into it. Thanks Rojo.
No, not very good, very great.Season 3 Episode 7 'The Cafe': Noticing that few people stop to eat at a certain small neighborhood cafe, Jerry feels sorry for...
Please note. Give Lyles a ton of credit. He does NOT duck anyone. He has lost many times while working on getting into top shape. He is World Champ X 2 and long season and guessing he made an extra 250K today just to squeeze in one more race. 2nd to a former World Champ is nothing to be ashamed of and should be celebrated that he indeed is out there racing consistently week in and week out.

Lyles won because he made bank just to show up after probably barely training for two weeks. It's just a paycheck collection week.
Lyles winning worlds was a fluke not to be repeated
His top speed once he gets going is absolutely insane though and why he is built for the 200. He was waaaaaay down on Coleman and to end up in 2nd was bonkers enough on its own
Noah Lyles obviously wasn't in the mood. Are Olympics and World Championships important or not? Events, 100m to 800m, jumps & throws are max adrenaline events. Everyone who wanted N Lyles to show up should be happy he did so but results mean nothing.

Exactly. I wouldn’t have been bothered if he decided to call it a season after Worlds, but losing to Coleman is not a shock and definitely doesn’t diminish his Budapest performances.
Mohamad Ali lost to Frazier (and lost 5 matches overall) and Tom Brady lost 84 games. No shame in not going undefeated your whole career.
