b) there are almost no tickets available, on the meet website or on Stub Hub, so people obviously just bought and didn't show (yet).
a) if you are a fan you dont miss mens 400h
b)and yet the stands are not full but always full in europe
Now a ways into the meet, so my first point no longer stands. I seriously don't understand it. When I want to go to meets at Hayward, this isn't the first time where tickets were super hard to come by, but then there are tons of open seats.
It's so hard to take seriously. That Nike have broken out special singlets that are... the exact same as their normal singlets but slightly off-shade UofO colours is the cherry on top for making this feel like it's a US High School championship event sponsored by Nike, not one of the pinnacles of professional track and field.
Almost as bad as the empty stands, is 7 women lining up for the steeplechase in the exact same Nike kits.
Is incredibly confusing for any casual fan who is trying to a) track an athlete during the race b) assumed them wearing the same kit is someway meaningful.
Bingo. Nike owns USATF. Owns it. They get to do what they want.
Exactly. Literally true. Some also forget that Coe is loyal to the Swoosh. (Feel free to post a pic of him wearing something else.) So yeah, they seem to run T&F in the US for many purposes.
