J Ingebrigtsen knows he cannot set one mile world record then next day break 3000m world record. He would look greedy and rude if he demanded paid pacers for one mile then no pacers for 3000m. J Ingebrigtsen may feel he can set one mile world record without pacers. J Ingebrigtsen knows if no pacers for 3000m, 3000m race will split 1st 1500m no faster than 3:50 and he knows he can win a 3000m race like that, even with tired legs.

Hi 600yd/600m man. There will be pacers for both events and Jakob will win both events no matter how fast the 3k is, since he’s easily the fastest 3k runner in the field.

Agree, there will be pacers for both races.
Finding pacers for the mile will be easier then finding pacers for the 3k. 3k will require an even paced 4 minute first mile.
Hope both sets of pacers are smooth and spot on timing their pace. Wondering if there will be pacing lights.
I still have my doubts JI will do both races and to think he will set WR in both one day after each other is very unrealistic. Great for hype though.
There will be pacers, there always are. I don't see the point, and it undermines the nature of the event which is supposed to crown the DL champions. It would be nice if at least the final could be determined by pure racing
I disagree with the premise of this. DL races all year have been rabbited time trial, so in theory we should have the best time trial athletes in the DL final. To completely change how the final is contested compared to every meet proceeding it makes no sense. Additionally 3 out of every 4 years we already have a "pure racing" meet that determines the best athlete. The worlds and olympics will never be rabbited by meet organizers and nor should they be. Let the DL series be run differently, there is nothing wrong with that.
Cool. Prakel is definitely a rabbit. Other rabbits are Kaylin Whitney in the w800, Navasky Anderson in the m800, Laurie Barton in the w1500, and Craig Nowak in the mSteeple. I’m not seeing a clear rabbit in the wSteeple. Interestingly, I think Elise Cranny is the rabbit for the w5k because she was just added.
