What is the best marathon shoe out there today?

    I'm wondering what the popular consensus is on marathon racing shoes right now. I am a bit outdated, running in Nike Alphafly 1s and Saucony Endorphin Pro 2s. I am wanting to purchase a new racing shoe, as these both have several hundred miles on them now.

    Is the Nike Vaporfly Next% 3 the best shoe out there right now or has the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 caught up? I haven't heard a lot about the Alphafly 2, but is it the best?

    Just interested in what everyone is racing in right now. Thanks.

    most ppl rn are racing in vf 2, ap3, ep3, and vf3.

    The Alphafly 2 was a step backward, it's heavier with less stack in the forefoot. People that prefer the Alphafly are still using the first version.
