Must feel great to be back on track. I have no idea how many years it is since he honestly could say he was in top shape. 2019?
7:34 is almost world class, that’s the kind of time El Bakkali ran this year, and placing second in a good field is encouraging. I’m actually really surprised by the quality of this performance.
But I wouldn’t get too excited. In the past few years Henrik has almost always had a good/great performance before getting injured again. Just like his 4:53 in 2020, his 7:36 in 2019 etc…
But I’d really happy to be wrong..
Anyway, it’s kind of sad, I think the 5000m is a bit too long for him to perform to the max of his abilities, the 1500m is too fast and he can’t risk getting injured training for it, and the 3000 obviously isn’t an Olympic distance.

I love to see this. Henrik is among the most talented ever but the least healthy. On the reality show, he'd get fit extremely quickly and run well but never put it together because he never had a fit and healthy season after 2012.
Him and Filip went from medal contenders to disappeared as soon as the Fancy Bears leak revealed then as "likely doping."
The Fancy Bear Wada leak came out in first half of 2017, the documents was from september 2016, Hebrik won a EC silver in the 5000 in 2018. Silver EC indoor 3000m in 2017, bronze EC indoor 3000m in 2019.
For someone who went from medal contender to disappeared in 2016/2017, its impressive that he won international medals in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
After Filip went from medal contender and disappeared in 2016/2017 he won a bronze in WC 1500m in 2017 and a gold in XC EC 2018, Gold in nordic indoors in 2019. Very impressive as well.
I was going to ask you if you are uninformed or just lying, but I guess its both.
