She’s running as fast or faster than any collegiate ever, but who’s willing to take a risk on someone tied to such major allegations. Until she removes herself from Huntington it seems like a huge risk to sign her.

Her chance of a big contract is slim to none, unfortunately.
Unless she removes herself from the Huntington cesspool, it won’t happen. There’s just too much baggage there, and it’s unfortunate. Even Nike won’t take a chance in the dumpster fire.

Justin Gatin got suspended for drugs TWICE and he still got sponsored by Nike.
Sponsors aren't as picky as some of you are imagining they are.
People chiming in that have no idea on both sides is peak letsrun. I’m sure none of you have ever received nor negotiated a shoe contract. Tell me more?
You're confused. Huntington University has baggage. The Johnsons have baggage.
Wiley doesn't have baggage herself, she only has accusations thrown at her by people on message boards who are suspicious.
Do you really think that sponsors care about some guy named Astro and the multiple aliases he is using while he's suspended
Sponsors do care. Athletes are an investment. Look at the way that Adidas is leveraging their sponsorship of Noah Lyles. He’s brash, likable, comes from humble beginnings, and doesn’t have scandals chasing him into every interview. There’s a reason that NBC plugged him for a mini series before he won double gold at WCs. Adidas will give him whatever he wants, because he is potentially the gen Z version of Usain Bolt.
Noah is a risk-free investment until he proves otherwise. So far the “worst” thing he’s done is get some of the most famous athletes in the US talking about track bc of his NBA callout. Even that’s a win.
Addy on the other hand just has too much smoke around her. Who knows what will be asked if her in a long-format interview or podcast? When her old scandal plagued coach show up alongside her in social media posts, how will that be received? Someone will sponsor her, but she won’t get the exposure or $$$ that any other 1:57/3:59 US teenage phenom would heading into an Olympic year, due to the baggage she supposedly doesn’t have.
I quite like your post and it will be interesting to see how the eventual shoe deal and coach move goes. ALso 2024 could give us a resolution of Nick Johnson's court cases. Still a high likelihood cases are dropped or settled.
The question I had was both Mu and McGlaughlin made the choice to train with Bobby Kersee, who has even more of a 'doping image' than the Johnsons. Kersee is the big leagues and the Johnsons are little league. That whole move has been pure Teflon for everyone, with fans only grumbling that the ladies don't race enough. What do you think of that coaching move?
Come to think of it, if Wiley agreed to go 1500/5000, she could join team Kersee in LA.
I noticed @addywiley follows and is followed by @doylemanagement on IG, but think the other managed athletes (Allman, SAFP, Hall, Jenneke, et al.) would not be very happy to see her join the group. Sort of taints everyone by association, at least until she can prove herself after leaving her mess of a coaching situation (which I doubt she can).
