The parents complaining about the new coach. He might not ask the full year. Those guys will be lucky yo get top 6 in DII. Welcome to Arcadia all over again.
let's wait and see how this holds up at woodbridge. if they place top 5 then colored me impressed.
if dev doshi is ready i think they can. they would probably have won yesterday with him running!
Great Oak was missing top 2. Newbury Park is somewhat competitive in DII to get a top 4 finish. It’s just not looking good for them now or the future for National caliber.
All this without junior Vocke (their #1). Their 5th man (sophomore) was their #3 at the southern showcase. Their 7th was their 3rd (or somewhere around that) last year but was injured earlier in the season. It’s things...
speed ratings don't mean anything and should only be used to compare with teams within your own region. NXN showed that the speed ratings were very bad for teams in the west - CA, OR, UT.
Appears they were also missing senior Porter who ran a 4:24 1600 Nice step up by NP sophomore B Sax who went from 18:00 3-mile last year to 16:07 this year
Both of those guys (Nate and Brayton) have so much raw talent to work with. Combine that with their willingness to put in the hard work and their seasons look very promising.

But I'm from NY. I just looked at the times from this meet and I just don't get it.
Are the races not full 5k's? If a kid ran in the low 15's on Bowdin or any of the big NY courses, that would be a generational talent. Maybe the CA courses are more flat? I know that CA does produce better runners on the boys side than NY. But the discrepancy in times is insane.
Even if you look at NY's top finisher last year at NXN, came in 19th. He ran 16:03 at Bowdin.
Are the NY courses just harder? Or is it a length discrepancy?
