The university of Nebraska, sold out a women's volleyball game at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln to the tune of 92,003 spectators at $25 for adults and $5 for kids setting a new attendance world record for a woman's sporting event. Note that the Husker football team holds the NCAA record for most consecutive sellouts of 306 dating back to dating back to 1962, so they know how to show up in Lincoln.
Dear USATF,
Either do what they are doing or just have a championship meet in Nebraska, it's centrally located and somewhere like Omaha (population almost $500,000) has the infrastructure to handle it. Build it and they will come!
