Really interesting to hear Jakob talk like this, albeit not that surprising.
On the one hand, given what Jakob did this year and assuming he was sick this week (which by all accounts it seems like he was), it's probably an accurate assessment of what happened. Jakob had to be less than 100% for someone else to win, and Kerr was the next-best.
On the other hand you should show some respect to your competitors. (Of all the people for this to be said to though, it's fitting its Josh Kerr.)
This is now back-to-back losses at Worlds in the 1500 for Jakob. Is this supremely confident self-talk part of what makes him so good? He's not even willing to consider the possibility that someone could have beat him at his best.
