The Tempo was never popular (it never found its niche at stores) but luckily for you, they didn't change much. It's pretty much the exact same shoe, for better or worse. If you liked the original, this will satisfy you.

Thanks for this; good to hear. When I say popular, I was just going by how many runners near my pace I see wearing it in local races. Probably a biased sample size.
It does seem that every shoe I've ever liked has either been discontinued or changed to the point that it no longer resembles its old self, so it's good to hear that they didn't monkey with the Hyperion much. In pretty much all areas of life, I'm a "leave well enough alone" guy - if something works, I don't want it changed. As to why they keep changing shoes, it probably has to do with marketing.
