I caught to the reigning 1500 champ Wightman tonight at that stadium.
My apologies for the end of the interview being cut off. He said Laros has everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Analysis was really good, I agree with the 3 he honed in on with Kerr Nuguse and Kipsang. He of course mentioned Gourley too but admitted that was a biased pick and more for a slower race. Not surprising given his dad but we will have him on the mic once he retires I suspect.
On the semi where Jakob boxed himself in: In the post-race interview with Norwegian broadcasting, Jakob poked a bit of fun at LR and that question by Citius Mag about it, claiming he was practicing a tactical race.
Have loved hearing Wightman on the world feed. Outstanding analyst and amongst the most knowledgeable and articulate I have ever heard.
where can the world feed be found? getting so sick of NBC

I could listen to this all day - someone needs to get pay him to do this full time.

I’M SURE JAKE IS GLAD YOU AGREE WITH HIM.

Totally agreed. Super sharp analysis. Better than anyone i've heard in the media.
I don't know if anyone is holding their cards close to their chests - the semis looked tough to get though, most runners had to put it out there. Katir for example was in a qualifying position at the last turn and ended up missing out.
I've been enjoying Jake on the world feed. Doesn't talk about himself and his successes, and doesn't take shots at other runners.

Everyone was so happy for him last year because of this, he seems to be genuinely the nicest guy on the circuit. It's a shame he hasn't been able to fully cash-in on being World Champ this year, he deserved the rewards that should have come with that amazing win. But it seems like he'll have a future career on the BBC when he retires which they need. The BBC panel is full of ex-sprinters and multi-eventers and their insights on mid and long-d aren't great - Cram and Radcliffe are on commentary duty so the analysis is usually left to Denise Lewis, Jess Ennis Hill, And Michael Johnson.
And he's right about the medallists
