Wow all of the favorites (SCR, SAFP, Ta Lou, and Sherika Jackson) made it to the finals and finished top 4. I feel like it is rare to see all of the top seeds make to through to the finals and finish 1-2-3-4
I am so happy for her, I almost cried. She has been through so much and overcome it -- she really deserves this victory. And, she seems to be a very different person, every since she tossed the wig at the USAs. She responded to this victory with a huge amount of humility, while the old Sha'Carri would have laid down some serious attitude. She ran a great race in the face of adversity and made me proud with both how she pulled it off and how she reacted.

It good that she has turned her life around. But a lot of what Sha'Carri went through the past few years was self-induced. It's not so many other people were doing bad things to her. No one forced her to smoke weed, talk smack about lots of other people, etc.
Beautiful performance, especially given what's happened to her. According to Ato, the only person in the 100m ever to make the World final on time and win.

She was also in abusive relationship with the Jamaican sprinter Janeek Brown that she just got out of last year

Agreed. Totally different person. Really happy for her.
I don’t know if she benefitted from it, but boy did we luck out when she was assigned to lane 9. We were all gifted an unobstructed (side) view of one of the best 100m performances in history.

So if she had been in lane 8, you wouldn't have been able to see her?
I noted that immediately after the race Shelly Anne Fraser Pryce and Dina Asher Smith went over and warmly congratulated Richardson. They didn't call attention to themselves but wanted to acknowledge Richardson's performance. Class acts.
Clean?! Go back and look at her body change from a year or two ago. She has nothing in SAFP and Jackedson tho. None of them are clean lol. Maybe Davis since she’s so young but it’ll come.
