4:15, 4:12, 4:08, at altitude and then a 1:55 800 to finish.
I wouldn't be shocked if he gets another medal again.
this basically averages out to 13 minute 5k pace. not sure how much altitude plays into times for workouts like this. i don't know enough to say if this workout is impressive or not. my gut is that it's not other worldly, but im out of my element.

Definitely wouldn’t call this an otherworldly workout, but honestly I’d rather see him hit something like this than, say, 4:05 4:02 3:58. I’m sure he would be capable of the second (maybe with a longer rest) but it’s good to see him showing some restraint this close to worlds. Definitely different than last year when he dropped a crazy workout going into USAs only to not make the team (a la Eric Holt).
It’s funny how different Chelimo’s and Sable’s strides are, Paul with the huge forward lean and back kick, Avinash almost leaning back with a choppier stride (probably appropriate for a steepler)

Take the altitude of 6000ft into the equation as well.
Using the Tinman calculator, his splits would convert to 4:07, 4:04, 4:00, 1:52. Which I'm guessing would be very solid but not out of this world for him.
