The 13:03 runner, who is coached by Patrick Sang, has been provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit. Up until this year, no East African had ever been hit with an ABP violation but he's #2 on the year. *MB: Ano...
With these ABP violations I wish we could get a little more transparency as the conclusions may be subjective. Hopefully not a Peter Bol EPO test repeat where they outsource to different experts later on and have to backtrack. With Kwemoi and Kipruto I would expect their mgmt may actually put in a real defense so we’ll see.

Kenyan runneres use drugs...all day.....every day.
Is this really news? How many more Kenyans have to test positive before the entire country is banned? I say now is a good time.
Ultimately you ban a country IF there is a state-sponsored doping ring, they’re covering up tests, or they’re testing insufficiently. Kenya is testing a lot and catching a lot of athletes. They just busted a major doping scheme in the airport. This all seems to me like what they should be doing. The same people who think Kenya should be banned because of the doping positives also tend to think Ethiopia must be doping wildly and getting away with because of the lack of doping positives. Gotta pick a lane.
There was this rumor last year that Kwemoi had lost his contract potentially. I think he's been in Japan more where he ran for Aisan Kogyo, but I hadn't seen anything of him training with Kipchoge's group for a while nor was he featured by NN Running Team for a while. I think he'd left the group before this surfaced. Not saying he's innocent but I'd day this is a much weaker link to Kipchoge/Sang than Kacheran was.

Just wait half a year. You can read the details on for example Rutto on the AIU page (DT decision) - his off-score jumped from 145 to 110 in two months, and then back up to 140 two months later. He was doped all the way to HGB = 19.2 g/dL!
Also note the timeline. They provisionally banned him in April 2019, and then ruled in November 2019 that his doping started at least in May 2018.
Also interesting: his 2017 samples were both from the summer, and resembled the once from summer 2018 after doping in May 2018.
You will also note that a lot happened between finding a suspicious ABP and the actual provisional suspension, including two rounds of experts and a statement from the athlete. That does not look good for Kipruto and Kwemoi.

Why don't you do the real morally correct thing and challenge the promotion of a false concept of super human metabolism?
Why don't you do the real morally correct thing and challenge the promotion of a false concept of super human metabolism?
Can you reply honestly?
Huh? Look I’m saying I don’t have the answers but would you agree that the Peter Bol situation was handled poorly? So, all I’m saying is I hope that history doesn’t repeat itself with a different standard that can be subjective.
He actually hasn’t been part of the Kaptagat squad for all of 2023. He was not signed by the group again at the end of 2022
So it will be interesting when the ABP violations occurred. He’s had a terrible season, but as others have noted sometimes these violations go back years.
