The Stride Report released their Ncaa Dll preseason ranking and have Jan Lukas Beckers of Mississippi College ranked 3rd in the nation.
After seeing some comments about his age/eligibility I looked up his Tffrs account and World Athletics profile and found he was born in September of 1993, meaning he’ll be 30 by XC postseason this fall.
Even more surprising, in my opinion was that he began his Ncaa career at Lamar University is the fall of 2014. After competing for Lamar he attended Queens (North Carolina), before moving onto Mississippi College.
My biggest question is how is this even possible according to NCAA rules? I thought there was a 6 year rule to use eligibility. Not to mention why someone would even want to run against 18-23 year olds.
