Am incredibly impressed by this guy who has only just turned 20. Current PBs of 9.91, 19.50(London 3 days ago) and 400m 44.75. Watching his 200m in London it’s the first time I’ve seen anyone remotely challenge Lyles in the closing stages of this event. If he can remain injury free it will be incredibly exciting to see how he progresses. I wouldn’t even go beyond saying Lyles might be in for a shock defeat at Worlds.
We'll see what happens at Worlds. A lot of these young phenoms struggle with the rounds or don't time their training correctly for Championships. Knighton last year is a good example because his times/performances indicated he should have got 2nd at Worlds.

I've considered this too but it's not his first rodeo. He ran at senior world champs last year, almost pulled off the double at world junior champs, and almost won the double at WJR in 2021.
I think that with the pro races he has under his belt this year, he has enough experience to pull of an upset
Also, i've been saying that he should be doing the 400 for a while. I still think that way. I think he could have run low 44s/ high 43 had he run it into championship season. Hopefully he comes back to the 400 when after he finishes running 9.6/19.2
