Turns out that santa isn't real. The rise of Cole Hocker was fun while it lasted.
At least he’s trending in the right direction over the course of the season. 3:32 isn’t terrible, everyone is just running so well right now. He won’t medal at worlds, realistically, but may make the final and run 3:31/3:30.
He actually seems like a really nice dude that’s easy to root for, so I hope he does well
broski had to run out into lane 4 avoiding a trip. Good to see him 2s faster than his previous SB, and just 1s off his PB that he ran in the Olympics. Definitely bodes well for the rest of this season, and he may be competitive with Nuguse next year if he stays healthy. Thank goodness because the Trials could get boring if Nuguse keeps being 3s faster than everyone else.
So when the top three run 10m longer or more you're just going to ignore that? Half the field ran extra distance. It's time for you to stop pretending to be a "thoughts leader"

Hocker has to avoid to trip because he wasn't good enough to run in the front and avoid it
If you bothered to read the stats, you'd see that Hocker ran just a few 2 or 3 meters farther than the Goose and Gourley.
So? I think most people are giving him a hard time for finishing 13th and running 3:32 not 3:31. Many of the guys who beat him ran 10+ meters shorter.
No, they're giving YOU a hard time for glazing a 13th placer for running a couple meters longer than the winners..
Guess what? You run less meters when you are good enough to race in the front. Hocker races like a high schooler, sitting back and expecting to outkick everyone.
