I’ve been running for 6 months now and I wear whatever t-shirt and pants/shorts I can find in the house. I would like to invest in running attire but I’m not sure where to begin. There are just so many options and gear that it can get overwhelming to the uninformed. What clothes/gear do you purchase? I’d also like to know what brands to you purchase from? Are there certain clothing/brands I should avoid?

What? Are you five years old? Maybe running is too complicated for you. If buying a pair of shorts confuses you this much then your brain will turn into goo when you look at a running schedule.

Make sure there is a giant hole down there so that your dingaling can hang out freely in the breeze while running.
I rarely buy new stuff because the stuff I buy seems to last a long time and I'm a tightwad when it comes to running stuff. I've had a lot of success with Adidas running shorts that you can buy at Academy Sports, Dicks, etc. $35 or so per pair. For singlets, I've found some good durable ones at Walmart and Target. runningwarehouse.com has some good clearance items.
