I got the last miles out of my regular 'long run' shoe (Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit) last week and it obviously got me thinking what to replace them with. It also made me realize that these are my favorite ever 'all round' shoe. I've had a few pairs of the original version and generally only use them once a week for the long run but these are my go to for trips away with limited luggage and so I have used them for tempos, intervals, and easy runs. I haven't (beyond parkrun) but would be very comfortable racing in them. The only shoe I can recall that comes close would be the Adidas Adizero Boston 6 but I prefer the Zoom Fly for longer runs.
So, I'm seeking recommendations for a replacement long run shoe with the caveat that my long run is only 10-15 miles at approx. 6-7 minute pace. I have been running for years and have mostly used Nike or Adidas but happy to consider other brands. I've heard mixed reviews of the later/updated versions of the zoom fly but interested in other opinions. Also, interested in hearing others opinions on best ever (or current) all round shoe.
