McGorty for president
Excited to see his continued progression now that he is focusing mostly on athletics. Major breakthrough in the 1500m this year for him, a result that was surprisingly even more competitive than this recent 5k. Looks like he'll be a force to be reckoned with in the 1500m as his endurance improves to ~12:50s for 5k.
Wonder if he’ll go for a 10k time trial as well?
Olin Hacker 13:09 in the b-heat too

Losing to McGorty and Fay by 3-4 seconds is almost surprisingly weak for a strength based 3:29.47 guy. I thought he was going to win.

13:02 for third. Brian Fay 14 second PB for second, 13:01! Also the Norwegian Nordas runs 13:05 PB and Connor Burns runs 14:02 to miss the record again.
He really is a man of steel

Wildschutt in 13.02 out of B heat.
its been fun watching Wildschutt compete in the NCAAs for several years & now he is still good for USA distance running as he's based in Flagstaff with Hoka NAZ Elite

Did Wildschutt become a U.S. Citizen?
Happy for McGorty. Great guy. Has managed to stay motivated through multiple injuries. must have had some dark days and second thoughts.
He stuck with it. Having wonderful results this recent season. Surrounded by supportive team mates and fierce personal motivation.
Way to go McGorty!

Probably not. He's currently ranked 28 for a field of 27, so he only needs 1 scratch. His teammate Fisher is next up and he has standard, assuming he could run.

No. Unless he's a secret citizen like Lagat.
