This Kincaid person seems to have a bit of an attitude throughout this interview. Specifically at 5:30 of interview below, speaking arrogantly regarding the Klecker individual.

Klecker won the 10000 last year,,, after Woody DNF'd. He not only lost miserably, he also quit. hahahaha
Yeah he seemed irritated a lot, thought it was odd. Still can’t get a feel for him and Kleckers relationship but he definitely took some swipes. My gut feeling is that Klecker is a bit of a D*ck.
It's a fine comment. If Jakob says the same thing, I'll bet the posters here will d!ckride him.
Much like his father.
If that's your gut feeling, you probably have diarrhea in addition to poor intuition. Kincaid is a douchebag as well as a roper. Roping for a few years at least now. Lots of cowboys throwing lassos over at BTC with him, too. Got a whole ass ranch over there.
Woody will be 31 in September and he really is a big fish in a small pond. He won’t be remembered because he won’t have done much that stands out. But he deserves credit for making something of himself as a runner.
Way more interesting than the half-assed responses we get from most athletes in these interviews. Jakob said something to the effect of “a lesser athlete beat me today” after he lost to Wightman and so many people on these boards were like “well, he’s right.” Notwithstanding the DNF in last year’s 10k, Woody definitely has the upper hand over Joe. Maybe Joe can come back and get him in the 5k, who knows. What I do know is this kind of thing is good for the sport.

the questions were pretty irritating brah, i think he handled it well.
i have more respect for woody after seeing this comment
dude absolutely owns klecker
klecker needs to start watching more cycling races if he still hasn't figured out how to beat woody
Most distance runners have a bit of an attitude when they deal with Letsrun. Why wouldn’t they?? Every other media outlet fawns over them like a bunch of fanboys and fangirls. Runners World, Citius, Flo, RunnerSpace, etc. With the exception of the occasional hot take from Gordon Mack, LRC is the only place where the pros experience real criticism. The ones who visit the site and read the boards (hint: all of them) get annoyed and it shows.
With that said: Woody still answered the questions thoughtfully, has given LRC a lengthy interview in the recent past, and he won the damn race. His kick is nasty. Good for him. I do like the dude, but he’s definitely trying to rebrand himself as some type of character.
I never heard of Woody before that sub-13 time trial. I was a little upset then as it seemed like supershoe stolen valor and I assumed he would never touch that time again. I'll admit I was wrong and Woody has stuck around and taken some serious scalps since then. Hoping he still has more to come
Watched the video and Kincaid didn't come across as a complete dbag when he said that, saying later how he knows when a "tough as nails guy" like Klecker is by him he knows they're in good territory race wise
But that doesn't make for good clickbait
woody should say klecker knows what my butt looks like. he.s had enough practtice..
They are both solid runners with different strengths. If you combined them into one runner you would have a WoodKlecker.

He should be pissed that he got compared to someone who is not in his ballpark.
