Aha, I am relieved you said that - so does that mean he was on target for around 3:40-3:42? If that were the case, then he might get back to a good level. 3:54 is not good for a man of his caliber.

It was difficult to have a full conversation as I was holding the bottle which he was urinating into, but he seemed to suggest he was in 3:35 shape, at least.
He's another guy who flew too close to the sun. Hard not to feel bad for the guy though. Most likely there'll be either DNFs or bad results for the rest of his career because his body doesn't respond to training anymore.
