L Muir may be training through. Fifteen-hundred meter race may have also been leg day. I wouldn't skip leg day for a meaningless meet if I were L Muir's age.

Not Muir's race at all. She likes it hard from the gun with let-up. As soon as it slowed down, it became a kicker's race. She's still a medal favourite for Budapest where Kipyegon will make it the type of race Muir likes.

You think she did squats before her 1500m?
Leg press x 3 sets;
Squats x 3 sets;
Leg extensions x 3 sets;
Leg curls x 3 sets;
Lower legs x 3 sets.
Seems like the best explanation to me. L Muir didn't suddenly get out of shape. L Muir didn't suddenly show signs of aging out. L Muir is too experienced to over train.
If an elite female were dealing with usual monthly issue, I believe most women would skip a meet like this.
Muir is cooked. That also fits to the trouble with the coach. I guess the coach did not suddenly change but when the success isnt there you dont tolerate that anymore. Thing is muir is even worse without him

+1
The last pacer was 50m ahead of the pack, but on the pacing lights! Muir had too many bodies ahead of her approaching the bell, decided to wait for the back straight, used her kick early trying to move up then died the last 30 metres.

You don’t know how pro runners operate, that much is clear.

It depends, at the Europeans quite the opposite.
On the global stage indeed there are always some really good kickers and slower race is not good for her.
That said 2015 WC and 2016 Oly were very slow, and 2017 WC slow. Last 3 global finals very fast.
But Kipyegon demolished Really strong field at the last DL final which was tactical (check out the details yourself). As a matter of fact she can win really any way she wants.
Seems to me like there are too many distractions in her life at the moment outside of the track.The focus ,the attention and the passion is not there.She seems like a different person all together. The raw talent is there,she will be back to form once she sorts herself out.
