Does anyone have any idea regarding the current status of 2019 double US champ Lopez Lomong. He hasn't appeared in any recent BTC social media posts, furthermore, we are yet to hear about any injury or retirement (that I know of).

Isn’t he almost 40?
Though I doubt he’ll make another team, he’s still very quick.
I wish that BTC or Jerry would give us updates and explanations for things such as this.
This right here- too many athletes are a mystery. How can an individual sport attract fans if the individuals aren't accessible?
To all the "it has to be a team sport" people I give you tennis and golf.
Golf is an boring as a sport can get BUT the hobby duffers watch the pro's.
Tennis is a popular sport in part because fans know the athletes. And they don't focus on just a couple. If the number 1 seed pulls out of Wimbledon people still watch.
BTC should be very public- we have social media to do it.
We are not even asking for constant interviews or social media/fan engagement. Just went you are skipping the US Champs, maybe put out an announcement or update. If any tennis player was skipping Wimbledon or cyclist skipping the Tour de France (just two examples of major events that are coming up), you can be sure they would make a post explaining it. No wonder these two events are so much more popular - despite also being "niche" sports.

I agree that if you know you're missing USAs months in advance you should get an update, but if there's a small chance you'll make it why would you announce anything?
Imagine the mental effects of announcing to the press "I might not be healthy enough for the trials" and then having to answer several questions about it. These runners are trying their best to stay positive. They don't get paid enough to field every avenue of their lives to the media.
BTC is incredibly I’ll and rapidly moving towards death. The move was bad for everyone (except Cooper perhaps?) and they’re all either unhappy, injured or a combo of the two.
Nobody is running nearly as well as previous years and a mass exodus is expected at season’s end.
Woody running out of his mind (and success of OAC folks including Klecker) adds a big ol fat oak log to an already super hot fire.
Jager was smart and got out while he was ahead. Moved on with life before the doping caught up with him. He’s got a good-looking career with some fine accomplishments in restrospect.
I bet he was sweating hard when Shelby got caught.

+1
He cut back when he got targeted - Shelby was too bold and ambitious.
Pretty much the rule with runners, not just BTC. Appreciate the exceptions out there who let fans know early.
Beating a dead horse...gotta think Jager would have been better off in a less one size fits all training group. With his generational talent, it would have been cool to see what he could do splitting off from BTC and having a training group tailored to his needs. Maybe they did that to some degree for him at BTC, but I'm not aware of it.

I'd be shocked if this isn't his last season.
This. Once Evan got to 30 he needed a program that was tailored to his needs, not the coaches ego. He is talented enough to be a contender for the US steeple title and World championship bronze medal threat at 70% of the volume BTC demanded of their athletes. Rojo was right the last few years calling for a coaching change...I can't believe I just typed that.

I don’t know why I’m having to defend BTC so much lately.
Jager ran 8:00. In the old shoes. Without that agonizing misstep, he runs 7:56.
He’s the greatest non-African steepler of all time.
Where is also has this in 2013 Lomong participated in the NYRR Men's Wanamaker Mile at the 2013 Millrose Games. He won the race in a personal best time of 3:51.21, just ahead of Matthew Centrowitz, a decorated 1500m cis man.

BTC was the group for him.
I agree the BTC was a good group for him based on his results, but you should objectively question why you defend BTC with their best female athlete confirmed doping
I don't think he runs 7:56 without the fall, maybe 7:57.high
