Thinking of getting a pair of these as they are going cheap. Is version 2 decent or is it rubbish?

Got like 300-something miles on a pair in my rotation so far. Honestly a pretty solid, no frills daily trainer. Kind of takes me back to a time when I didn't have to worry about what foam I'm running on, what kind of plate, what stack, weight, blah blah blah. I get gear fatigue from all the crap they come up with sometimes, and just want a decent shoe I don't have to think about when I wear it.
Cheap, comfy upper, durable, and don't get in my way. They aren't gonna blow you away with anything special, they don't have space age super bounce like you're walking on the moon, but if you just want something conventional to get work done, they're better than a lot of the weird shoes they come up with these days.
...word hamish ...continental rubber outsole is very grippy and hardwearing as well and heel counter is solid, semi gusseted tongue so i find them a great lockdown ...lightstrike midsole took me around 50clicks to bed in but after a couple of hundred more they run like a dream with no sign of bottoming out ...reminds me of the original adidas oregon trainer( i am that old) ...good simple stable straightforward solid allround trainer without some of the unnecesssary bells and whistles and light enough to race in,at my pace anyway ...great price as well if you have a scout around online ...
